I have a good friend that just showed me his two Phillipson EF76 glass fly rods.

They were a gift to him years ago ( 1974-5 ish ) and still unused and mint. Two piece, single tip, 7'6" 5/6 weight. Cloth rod bag and aluminum screw top rod tubes.

Anyone have any experience with this rod??

I have a 9' 7wgt that's been in use for 30 years. I pretty much just use it for mouseing now in the early part of the year though,,good rods!

Is yours a glass rod or ?

My research shows the Phillipson made a lot of bamboo rods at the time - and the glass rods were made it imitate their actions.

I only got to put one of his rods together and give it the old wiggle test..... It was pretty obvious that she would flex right down to the handle on a good fish.

I put an offer to buy one, in his ear. We'll see what happens
