Suppose most have hear of the fish kill on the Yellowstone River. It is closed to all activity from Gardiner to Laurel!
Any known cause?
Warm weather most likely
On Aug. 18, results showed Proliferative Kidney Disease—caused by a microscopic parasite called Tetracalsula bryosalmonae —combined with stress factors, including near record low flows, consistent high temperatures and disturbance caused by recreation activities, to be the catalysts for the fish kill.

No bueno.
Report I read a couple days ago implied it was mostly rough (white) fish.

Mostly mountain whitefish so far.
Well these things happen from time to time, I remember Having a great week on the Beaverkill the back in April of 1991, it then got warm a very dry and a major trout die off! The Beaverkill recovered, and so will the white fish on the yellowstone!
