For those that run this bullet, what powder are you finding to work the best? Mine will be a 1:9 @25".
A little different, but I am using IMR 7828 in my .280 Rem with 160 gr. Sierra Game kings. I don’t know why that same powder wouldn’t work in the .280 AI.

I use H4831sc with 168 bergers.
6.5 Staball was good for velocity.
Anyone have experience with IMR or H4350 powders?
Charge weight, velocity, with the 162?
With the 162gn ELDX and a 1:875" twist in 22" tube;
Fed 210M primer for all loads.
60.5gn IMR 4831 for 2916fps
61gn Rel 22 for 2845fps
63gn IMR 7977 for 2821fps
These loads shot between .311" and .646"
I used H4350 with the 160gn Accubond with 57gn for 2821fps but tended to use slower powders when I got to these heavier weights. Rel 17 for example and 57gn generated 2920fps with that same 160gn Accubond so that general 4350 burning rate looks like it has a lot to offer with the 160's.
IMR 4831 was a very good powder with 160gn pushing the accubond to 2948fps and under .5MOA.
I've shot a fair amount of the 162 eldx, which should be similar.
Best of bread summary, all sub MOA, 24":
~60.5 gn of IMR7828 @ 2,960fps
~58.5 gn of RL23 @ 2,890fps
~60.0 gn of RL22 @ 2,950fps
~57.5 gn of Hunter @ 2,880fps
~65.0 gn of Magnum @ 2,950fps
RL-23 is probably my favorite; works very well with 140-175 pills. I also shoot a decent amount of 7828 w/ 160 and 175, as the accuracy and velocity are very good!
Work up; I don't have pressure testing equipment, and cannot validate these are safe.
