It's all Big Stick's fault. I opened the first box of the 7 mm 120 gr. XBT bullets, and was hooked. If you haven't seen one, they measure 1.17 inches in lenth, vs. .985 inches for the excellent Sierra 120 gr. Pro Hunter. So, I proceeded to clean the copper out of my new Pac-Nor barreled .280 Rem. Next time, I'll buy a Foul Out III. I don't even want to tell you how long I spent. Groups ? At one grain under the rifle's maximum with Re-19 powder, I put three in .46 inches @ 100 yds. The other reasonable loads went .92, and 1.58 inches. I'm hooked, and ruined forever. Now, I've got to see how those little, blue .25 bullets work in my new .25-284. Thank you, Big Stick. E...
If you think you are hooked now, wait until you see them interact with game...
I shoot the 7mm 120 X (flat base) from my 7x57. Every whitetail (19 of them now) never knew what hit them.. Instant lights out. If you are hooked now, you will be addicted after the season.
