I've come into a large quantity of ICC headstamped .223 brass. Googling suggests this is a product of the International Cartridge Company and was probably originally loaded with "non-toxic", frangible bullets, possibly at reduced pressure.

Does anyone have any experience with reloading this brass. Is it okay for conventional loadings at conventional pressures?

TIA

We ran some years ago, IIRC it weighed out heavy, comparatively, and we adjusted the powder charge to reflect that and it was ok. Also IIRC the case weights varied a lot and as such it ended up being not the greatest brass for accuracy, and was delegated to the practice piles but thats not bad either.

Thanks, Jeff.

I'll have to weigh some of this and see if it's of any use.

My grandson was going to process it with new primers as a little exercise in self-employment. But not if it's not of good quality!

Anyone else have any experience with it?
