anybody have load data to share ? so far have worked up to 48.0 grns of h4350 for around 2750fps in 22 in barrel. was hoping to get around 2850 fps.

I shot RL19 but I forget how much. Nosler's listed max load, whatever that is. I also shot some W760 but wound up reserving that for the 120 grain b-tips.

Accuracy was great. It was a bit of a challenge because I didn't have a drop tube and I really needed a little more case capacity, the seated bullets would sometimes back out of the case.

46gr IMR4007sc with a Rem 9.5 primer and topped with a 139gr Hornady SP ran 2857fps from a 24" barrel, a 140 gr BT went ~2825fps.
Varget is another good choice for good velocities. I feel the 4350 and R19 speed powders fill the case before pressure builds enough to get top velocties, others might believe different.

could that explain why i get more velocitie with 48 grns 4350 and a 150 ptn than with the same load and a 140 ptn?

The other factor is the bullets used to develop the loads - Hodgdon have used a 140gr Hornady SP to arrive at their max of 48gr, and a 139gr Swift SP to arrive at a max of 50gr of H4350.

50gr is probably a better max for the 139/140gr boat tail projectiles. YMMV of course.

I get 2850 out of my Rem. LSS with 22" bbl. 44 grs. of Varget. Work up load slowly from 42 grs.

I'm around 2800fps with 46grs IMR4350 and a 140 Partition with a 22" tube. Rifle likes it too...

I could squeeze about 2780fps max using H4350 under 1 140grNPT in my old Mod 7.

The 4350s are not a bad choice for 140s in the 7-08 but I've had better results using RL15 or Varget. Try RL15 with a Fed 210 primer under a 140grNPT, my current 22.5" 7-08 pushes 'em at 2850 all day long.

Varget and IMR4064 worked great for me, never tried the newer SC 4350 but seems to work well also.

2850 is a good benchmark to shoot for in a 22" and 2900 or better is not out of the question depending on YOUR barrel. Partial sized cases might help a tad, and WW brass gives you 1-2gr more capacity than RP FWIW.

Whatever is safe in YOUR gun, and accurate, will do what a 7/08 needs to do IMHO. Chrono may show numbers, but an animal will NEVER know.
49 of H 4350 gets me over 2900 with 140s in my 7x57.
the best way to get more velocity out of a 7-08 is with a handloaded 7x57 , 280 Rem or 7 mag..

I see little since in the extra 100 FPS your wanting, it will not extend the cartridges killing power or trajectory one bit, it is a nice round at 2700 or a bit better, and will kill anything on the continent with a properly constructed bullet.

Ray i was mostly wondering why 48 grns of h4350 and a 150 ptn will chronograph a little over 2800 fps in my gun , but the same 48 grns and a 140 ptn is slower by around 50 fps ? i will probably just go back to the 150 load for everything but my local sporting goods store only had 140s this year and he made me a good deal on his last two boxes so thought i would try them . could it be that in my gun the 4350s are just better with the heavier bullets and maybe varget or rl15 would be better with the lighter bullets ?
