Has anyone tried this load. Seems like you could get the speed and keep the weight retention w/ this combo? If you have tried them, what are your thoughts?

I haven't harvested any whitetails with the load yet. I've used 130 gr Ballistic Tips and 140 gr Hornady BTSP.

I'm considering using the 110 Barnes TTSX this year. I developed the load for my rifle a year ago...but where I hunt it gets rather windy at times so I went with a heavier bullet.

My load with the Barnes 110 gr TTSX is 65.8 gr of RL-17 and I get about 3575 fps. Very accurate. My goal was to match a 257 Weatherby ballistically.

I currently load the 110 grain Barnes TTSX in my 270 WSM and really like it. I am in California and had to find a no-lead load for my 270 WSM. I tried the 130 grain Barnes TSX but the accuracy was just not what I wanted. On a lark I tried the 110 grain TTSX and the accuracy was great and the speed impressive.

You should work up to this load from a few grains below, but I shoot the following:

Winchester cases
Fed 215M primers
67 grains IMR 4350
110 grain Barnes Tipped TSX
velocity = 3600 fps
groups = very good, with the best so far 0.323" at 100 yards

So far I have only shot a few coyotes and one antelope with this load. Great performance in every case, you can sure hear that bullet hit, very noticable "whop" when they strike.

R_Flowers, that load is exactly what I use on my 300 WSM..67 gr of IMR 4350, Fed 215M Primers, but I use 168 gr Barnes TTSX. I get 3100 fps and 1/2" groups. I will build up to this load and see what this brings.
