Within the last year I switched everything I loaded with IMR 3031 to Benchmark. I now need to load up some 250 loads with 100gr bullets. My old load was 33gr of 3031 but I can't find any data for benchmark. Anyone using it?

About two years ago I started getting rid of all the many powders I had and simplified things. I now load 15 cartridges with only 4 powders, Lil Gun, Benchmark, H4350, and H100V. I know I will be adding LVR when it's available. I really don't want to add another powder just for the 250 savage. My guess is LVR will be good for the savage as well, burn rate around BL-C(2), but doubt there's much load data outside the traditional lever rounds for awhile.
Hodgon doesn't show any data above the 90gr bullet weight. There is probably a good reason for that, maybe as mundane as velocity wasn't up to expectation, or pressure indications went squirrly on them. They are a very helpful company drop them an e-mail or call I'm sure they will help you out. Personally without any data for Benchmark I would use the H4350 I have had good results with it and the 100gr bullets in the 39 to 41gr. range. In an 1899 Sav. 99 40gr. with the 100 Sierra gave me 2876 fps and groups rangeing in the 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 inch range this from old 22 inch slow twist barrel. In a 24 in. 1 in 10 twist barrel bolt action the same 40gr. charge and the 100 bal. tip I got 3018 fps. with groups hovering around an inch or less. This barrel has a tight chamber and short throat and 40gr with the B.T. was all it would take so work up carefully. H4350 also works well with bullets as light as 87gr. as well as the heavy weights.
