Have the 87 gr Berger 6mm VLDs been discontinued? I don't see them listed on their site.

Thanks
I dont think they ever made a 87 VLD, dont see it on my Berger Pamphlet from a few years ago. The VLDs start at 95grs.
Berger makes an 88 grain bullet if that is what you are thinking of... I have a couple of boxes of them I picked up at Sportsman's Warehouse up in Lacey WA....

$10 a box of clearance.. cool

Thanks guys,

I have in hand a box marked; Berger VLD Hunting 6mm 87 grain.
PN: 24524 Lot#3113.

At some point they made them, I picked them up in the past 6mo or so.

I did find them listed in the pdf chart but not in their line up.

Just wondering as I was about to work them up, not sure how much time I want to put into it if they are/have gone away.

Thanks

My 87 grain VLD order hit my porch a few days ago. They're designed for the more commom 1-10" factory tube. I'd say they are here to stay.

I'll be sticking them into Lapua 243 brass when I narrow down which powder to weigh.
I'm shooting them in 2, 6-284's. I have found that one of them a 1-10 twist Lilja likes them better than the 95's. Shot a group last Sunday at 300 that was just a hair over 1" out of a 7 Lb even Stiller Predator, Lilja, McMillan build.

They will be going to Arizona in November for a try on Coues deer and maybe a whitetail doe here in Montana. Thought I'd see what they do on light deer before I try them on a heavier Mule Deer Buck ( I hope ) this fall here at home. Velocity was 3430 average.

I haven't shot them any further in my Kimber 6-284 than 100 but they are shooting consistently under 3/4" in that without any load development at all, just the first load I tried with it.

I think Dober is shooting them also in a 6-06, he might chime in.
Wasp is right, the 87 Berg is what we're running in our 10 twist 6/06 for this fall.

They'd be awesome for cowz deer, wish I was going this fall!

Dober
Dober There might still be some tags left over? Don't know
I bet there are still some leftovers but don't know...

Thanks Guys,
I sent a note to Berger asking about them but have not heard from them.

I'm thinking they should work fine for our WT, and I'm wanting to check them out.

Was thinking RL17, what is everyone running?

Note - Berger did send an email stating the 6mm 87gr VLD was not being discontinued. Stating they are reworking their website and do not have it listed yet.
