I've been playing with RL-17 in my 338 RCM and getting some decent results. I saw a thread a while back were Azshooter was using it. I couldn't find that thread again but I worked a few up.

I got the 225 interbonds running 2675 from my 20" ruger barrel so I loaded some up and put them on paper. They're grouping just over 1 MOA so it looks like a keeper load.

As I was headed out to put the 225's on paper I thought I might as well try some 210 partitions over RL-17 and chrony them while at the range. The hottest one I loaded clocked 2825 fps with just a bit of bolt lift resistance on extraction but the primer and case look good. I'll load some up a half a grain under that and see how they shoot.

A 210g partition at 2800 fps will be a pretty good load if it groups OK.

Heck yeah it will be!

Thanks for sharing this! I need to work up some myself.

I'm really liking what I'm reading about the 210's...

How many grains of RL-17 to hit 2675????
I've got some RL-17 loaded up but haven't had the time to chrono yet.
That's faster than I was expecting to get with 225's.
The factory 225 ran 2600fps in my 20" rcm.
I also have BL-C2, W760 loads to test.
That's good speed for those 210 NP. I've gotten 2800 from 200 grain factory loads.

The FPS on the box of Hornady factory ammo shows 2950 for 200's, and 2750 for 225's from a 20" barrel. They must have a very fast barrel !!!!!

Please keep posting your results.
Thanks
I am running 61g RL-17 and a cci 250 under the 225g IB for 2675 fps.

Yup, Winchester REALLY dropped the ball on that one while Hornady/Ruger wisely picked it up and ran it in for the TD...
Burley, mind throwing up your charge for the 210s? Recently got a LH RCM and have shot it some, but always looking to expand my tinkering. Will bed it tonight and tomorrow. Would like a new charge to work with.

I've been running TAC and RL-15 with Hornday 200s and some Barnes 185 TSXs.
I've been meaning to pick up some RL17 for mine and just haven't. I have had decent success with 2520 but I should probably get off my duff and branch out a bit.
I ran 63.5 g RL-17 under the 210's. Use caution with my loads though because I haven't worked with these much yet and it's cold here now so pressures could rise with the temp. I've also had good luck with RL-15 and BL-C2 in the 338 rcm. If it quits snowing I'll get out and do some more testing.
