Just got my first ever Tikka rifle in 270 win and after much deliberation I've decided I'm going to try the famous Barnes bullet since I've never hunted with the barnes.

I'm going to go with the 130 ttsx and was thinking about first trying somewhere between 57 and 60 grains of H4831SC and see what happens.

Also want to experiment a little with reloader 17.......or Ramshot Hunter.

I was wondering who all was loading the barnes 130 in a tikka and some possible pointers as to what your Tikka liked for OAL.

Try the 129 LRX instead. Better BC and slightly lower expansion velocity threshold.

In my Sako I load 60.0 grains of H4831with the 130 TTSX. My gun likes them 70 thousands off the lands.

H4831 / 130 is peas and carrots.

53.5 of H4350 gives me sub minute out beyond 200 M.

Every load I've developed with a Barnes bullet has liked jumping the lands.
