Anybody loading that combo with H4350? Thanks!

Tried that a few years back and got 1.25"-1.5" or so @100yds after much loading, shooting, and tweaking. That's about all that particular rifle would ever do with anything, though. Velocity never got where I wanted it from a 24" barrel.

I have found it to have excellent terminal performance on deer from my 308 semi-auto. I keep shots under 300 with it due to low velocity (16" barrel). Don't know that you could keep one inside a southern whitetail regardless of angle.

I'm going to go shoot today. With QL, I'm at around 56-57gr as a max. We'll see. I picked up 150 of them as 2nds through shooters. Rifle is my 30-06 Ti in a McM Edge, which is a proven shooter. I'll be happy with 1-1.5".

56gr got me 2900. A bit warm. Going to drop her down to 55gr and call it good.

Are these the ones with the bands on them? I been tempted to get some but wasnt sure if the bands they put on them was to help with pressure problems they have with regular e-tips without the bands. How big a jump you doing into the lands? .100?

Yes. It's just one band right now, and I figured they were for factory ammo. They are cheap at shooters right now. I'm currently doing a huge jump in my long throated Rem 700. I seated the bullet right at the band. It gives the same jump as factory ammo. I might just seat to lands and keep it at 56.

If 56 is warm with a jump then putting it on the lands may raise it to hot.

It'll increase case capacity by a good bit by increasing the coal. I won't jam it into lands.

Most monos like a good run to the lands at least in all of my rifles. I have found this seem to keep the pressure down and accuracy up. YMMV

I bought some of the 167gr ones today don't know what the 1gr difference is for but they were 2 dollars cheaper.

The ring must take out a grain. Given it shoots well, a 167 going 2850-2900 from a 3006 with a BC of around .5 should be a hammer. Price ain't bad either.
