After the season is over I want to work up a load to take advantage of my 243 with 1-8" twist tube. Settled on the 105 BTHP and I'm hopeful H4350 will offer velocity and accuracy. Anyone have a recipe using these components? No I hadn't measured my OAL to the lands in relationship to mag constraints.

How long is the barrel?

22"

I have been reasonably successful using the Quickload/ Chris Longs barrel time to get Optimum Charge Weight. Bear in mind this information is a starting point and somewhat generic but barrel times and velocity are key.

1st node is at 1.2018 mS, requires 39.84 grains of H-4350 for 53,079 psi and resultant velocity is 2749 fps.

2nd node is at 1.1270 mS, requires 41.82 grains of H-4350 for 61,168 psi and resultant velocity is 2873 fps.

The velocities will put you on a node, how you get the velocity matters little as long as you are using powders and pressure limits appropriate for the 243 Winchester.

Great info. Thanks
