Anyone shoot this combo? My shots will be limited to 300-400 yards. Looks like this would be a laser at 3500ish FPS.
What powder works best for this combo?
This will be for whitetails. Bigger stuff (elk) will likely get a heavier pill of the TTSX or Partition variety.

Why would they be any less effective than a 130 TTSX out of a 270? They work good on elk bya all accounts.
At 30-06 velocities at shorter distances they are plain wicked. So, I'm sure they will perform fine, as long as they group well, which usually is a given.
Friend has shot several cow elk with that combo under 200 yards. Kill like the hammer of Thor. As with all Barnes, penetration is all the way.
I use them in my 300 Savage 99 and have killed two antelope and one mulie with DOA performance.
You can load 150 grainers to close to 3500 fps, so I think you could get the 130s to 3700. Totally unnecessary for 400 yard shooting, but why not?
Max loads of 7828ssc got me 3540 fps and really sweet accracy out of my tikka 300 win mag. My tikka has pretty good free bore so I just as soon not publish the load but I'm sure you could start with hOgden data and work up.
