Bud that deals with unclaimed storage just turned over 8# of sealed Accurate powders to me, in 1# jugs. Presuming it's still good/seals intact, if anyone has any advice/experience with any of these, I'd love to hear about it, as I have used none of these specific powders. I'd be looking at: 30-30/308/30-06/356/358/357max/223/243/6.8/7.62x39/45-70/......and others. Here's what I have:

Thanks.

Thanks.....mainly looking for personal/anecdotal use/comparisons/results, from any 'fire members that can provide it.

Pulled up accurate's site when I saw them, just to figure out if they were even compatible.

I used to use 2015 to good effect duplicating 300 Savage speeds with a 150 in a short barreled 308 Steyr Mannlicher.

That 2015 'looks' to be impressive in several book loads on 308-based and smaller cases. The 2520 & 2700 look good (on paper) for '06 based.

AA 2520 works great in my .308 Win. 43 to 44 gr with 165 gr bullets.

No.9 is great for magnum revolver loads - think H110.

2520 worked well for me in .308 also.

When I owned a Marlin 336 in 35 REM it shot 34.0 grains of the XMR-2015 extremely well (with CCI-200 and 180 grain Speer HotCor).

A2700 is the same powder as H414 and W760, if that helps.
Posted By: hh4whiskey Re: Powder haul help! - 05/24/16
All of that helps! I'm feeling better about them all, for sure. ....especially with associating some of them with stuff I'm familiar working with....110, 760, etc.

Thanks.

I like 2015 in the 45-70, one of my favorites.

Burn much 2700 (in H414 or W 760) labels in my 7mm-08, 30-06, 375 H&H, 6.5x55.

2520 pushes 250s about as fast as anything will and accurately in the 358.

2460 was an accurate powder in my 358 behind 200s; never played with it much outside of that.

Never burned #9 either but I know it would help stretch my W296 supply if I had some.

All the burn rate charts I have show Accurate powders. Pretty easy to tell what they might be good for when you see their relation to Hodgdon and IMR stuff.

One of my favorite loads for my Freedom Arms .454 was a max load of #9 behind a 262 grain cast bullet. It burned so well I could fire it after sunset without the muzzle fireball.
