Father in law brought down all his dad's reloading equipment today, powder primers bullets press everything. Some pretty cool old cans, never heard of win 785 before. 20 lbs of H 4831, lotsa 4350, all the old 4831 is unopened with the paper guard still on the lid. Pretty cool stuff.

Judman -

That was mighty nice of him. I'd be tickled pink if someone did that for me.
I remember W 785 powder but never used any.
Good luck

Came across some unopened containers of 4895 that were marked like $3.99 per pound. The local range has a display of old stuff like that, so I just gave it to them for the display case.

Still old things like that are so Coool...

I'll admit to keeping all of the old metal containers of IMR powder I have, got maybe 30 of the 1 pounders and 5 or 6 of the old 8 pounders.

I believe W785 is the same as H450. Maybe someone can verify that.

Yes 785 and H450 were the same. I still have a few cans hanging around and I pull one out occasionally and assemble some loads to play with. Last load I tried was 45.7 of 785 in a 7-08 with a 175 grain Sierra MK non tipped. I used it on the 500 meter rams at the Whittingtom Center. It took them down even with leg, or low body hits.
