Do Remington and Winchester still make cases for reloading?

Between Graf's and Midway the only ones I could find for cartridges I shoot are Winchester .30-'06 at Grafs. For most cartridges I could find some other brand picking up the slack, but not all.

Was in East Hartford CT Cabelas and saw Winchester brass in 45-70, 270, 7mm08 30-06 .308 and .223. Probably some I missed. Also plenty of hornady brass as well. Nosler to.

I could find Norma, Nosler, Lapua, Privi, Hornady, and maybe some others. After the first couple of cartridges I started looking for cases I shoot but don't need now. For Remington and Winchester I found no .22-250, 7mm Mauser, 300 Savage, .30-'06, 8mm Mauser, 32 Winchester Special, 35 Remington, 375 Winchester. I quit there but could have carried on.

I bought 100 pieces of Winchester brass a couple of days ago. Might be leftover?

Had a stand at the great eastern outdoor show in harrisburg, pa and i went over and asked the Remington rep when will we be seeing brass for sale again, i was told that just selling brass was bad for bussiness, there having a hard enough time keeping up with loaded rounds. I'm sure winchester is having the same problems.

Got some WW .308 brass at the local Sportsmans earlier this month.

New red and black labeling?

I haven't seen much on the shelves lately. Local Bass Pro has the most of any place I have seen. A few bags of Remington (.223 and .243 is about it) and a few bags of Winchester (.223, .243, .30-06, and a few handgun calibers). Quite an assortment of Starline and Hornady was on the shelf too.

Most of my brass these days comes from guys here in the classifieds or once fired from a local shooting range.

It's my understanding that Remington has quit offering reloading components: cases, bullets, etc. Don't know about primers, as I have still seen those available.

Can't speak for Winchester. As War Eagle has stated, I usually pick mine up from the classifieds or scoop 'em out of the scrap bucket at the range. Kinda hard when you shoot a few odd balls such as 6.5x55, .338 Win mag, and .38 Super.

I wouldn't be surprised if the major manufacturers are putting all their efforts into ammo production.....I can for see another ammo shortage looming on the horizon, esp. if Hillary gets elected.

Sounds right - I'd have to check tonite.

There was one bag and I did not hesitate . . .

Powder Valley has no rem and very limited win rifle brass. May mean nothing.

I used to keeep almost exclusively with R-P brass but have gone to Hornady, Nosler, and Prvi Partisan as of late with the former two vastly superior to my old brand and the latter it's equal.

The times they are a changin

I just looked at Powder Valley's website. They have WW brass for severa rifle cartriages.
Cabela's has/had Remington brass. Sometimes it shows on their website but they don't have it in stock.
I've tried both Hornady's .308 "Match" and their '06' brass. I wasn't impressed with either, especially the '06' stuff.
The Privi Partisan .308 brass I've tried is great. Heavy, like mil spec. brass and it holds up very well in my M1A. E

I've generally been pleased with non-Remchester cases, and was just curious. The only problem I've had is with S & B cases from some 7 x 57 ammo I bought. The ammo shot well, but the extractor groove is out of spec large, and won't fit in the correct shell holder. The only shell holder I have that would work is a RCBS one for the 6.5 Swede. The large extractor groove does still fit under the extractor of my Ruger 77 though.

I was a very lucky man when I scored this a few weeks back. I don't think Remington has made this stuff for around 5 years.
