Are the fusion bullets designed for 338 Federal? What is their velocity window? That is if one were to hunt white tail with the bullet. Thanks.

Bugger, most have been happy with their killing power. I have a 338 wildcat being built that I'm going to try the Speer 200gr and the Fusions first. powdr

Right now, I only own 338 Win Mag's and am thinking I'd have to load down quite a bit. But I have never shot any animal with this bullet.

A former member here killed 20-30 Kudu with it from a 338 Fed. Said it worked great.

Well I suspect but don't know that the 338 WM is capable of pushing these bullets to fast. Wish I knew.

Federal only lists them as a 'deer' load though I would tend to think they are capable far beyond that. I have a box on the shelf just waiting for me to get the lead out & shoot 'em. I'm sure there is not a whitetail on earth that could stand up to one, if hit properly.

I sent a message asking Federal what they recommend as maximum velocity on Fusion Bullets. I see that the have factory 225 grain Fusion loads for the 338WM.

No message from Federal. Guess they don't care enough o answer
I would load them up to 3k, the same velocity I shoot the 200gr NBT's out of my .338WM, and go kill stuff.
