On facebook under my group, The Handloading Center, which many forum members have joined a member posted the following....

I accidentally picked up a few hundred 300 grain XTP rounds for use in my .44 Special. The problem I'm having is I can find no loading data for this weight. I think my only option is to break down and buy either a .444 or .44 Magnum Marlin lever gun. But seriously, I would like to load this into my .44 Special. Any thoughts or experiences?

I proceeded to generate a Q/L simulation which of course included non traditional slow magnum rifle powders. I got a few comments from people who pretty much claimed this would NOT work. So today I did this.

44 special 300 grain speer 22 grains of hunter which is slower than H4350. Straight out of Quickload

When I first started reloading back in the early 1970's, IMR published loads with just about every powder they made in just about every pistol case. I never had any desire to load 4350 in a .44Mag but the data was there in case I did.

As you said, these powders are not ideal but they will work in a pinch if you are completely out of everything else and desperate.

Holy crap...what kind of dirt you got in that planter...lol. The stuff my wife uses is so light and fluffy I don't think it would stop a pellet gun!
Cold dirt. Very cold! I am out in the country....
That video brought back memories of 45 years ago when I was a kid. One of our local gunsmiths was a very peculiar guy he was a bachelor living in an old ramshackle house but did unbelievable work... he didn't really have a shop he just had a work area right there in his living space. HE also had a gigantic stump in there and I don't know how he got it into his house. If you had work done on your gun before you left with that gun it was test fired in front of you into the stump to make sure you were happy with it....AĆ ah the good old days!
Now Fotis just so you know I'm just trying to draw a parallel between that planter and the stump.... okay?.... LOL
LOL yes!
