I just heard that Walt Berger has sold out. [Linked Image] His web site is inoperative. Does anyone know if someone will be making the same bullets?
Update on Berger Bullets: After posting the question, I found Walt's phone number (still in Phoenix) and called, and they ARE making bullets , but have a spotty inventory right now. I hear they sold out to get capital to invest in CNC equipment, and are now still playing catchup on orders after the transition. The company which bought Berger's old stuff is in California. Berger's shop number is 623-842-4001, in Phoenix AZ, if anyone needs it. His web site is operating OK now, http://www.bergerbullets.com/index.htm
and although they do not list all his bullets in their catalog, Midway seems to carry a quite complete inventory of Berger bullets on their website, http://www.midwayusa.com/
I ordered the 64-grain Berger HP MEFs, and received them promptly. Just a note here. I had heard people were worried the Bergers might not be the same since they changed hands. I am happy to report that, according to a benchrest friend who uses a lot of them, that they are shooting very well for him. Although I haven't personally tried any of the new ones, since he has about 30 more years in the sport than I do, I would tend to beleive him. Anyone else have a report on the Bergers since they have changed hands?....pooch
I bought 1000 berger 52 gr 22 cal bullets (moly coated) 2 years ago from Walt Berger for my 22 CHeetah MK 1. I have not purchased any since the changing of hands. I am glad to see Walt is back and making bullets again. What sort of CNC equipment did he buy and for what purpose? Don [Linked Image]
