I have an opportunity to buy a slightly used Kimber 82 in 22 Hornet. This was their "standard" model. It has the orangish colored walnut that I've sseen other Kimber of Oregon rifles have.
I would rate the metal 99+ and the stock 98%. It comes with a Leupie M8 in 7.5 power with the plum color on the objective and eyepiece. All in all it looks to be a nice package but as I have been told, each Hornet rifle can be a mystery.
I know the seller paid $1100 and is asking $1150.
So who has any knowledgeable thoughts out there?
I had one that I regret selling. Paid around a grand for it without the scope. Shot 3/4" with factory Winchester ammo and was a very pretty little rifle. I enjoyed carrying it around. Guy I sold it to still sends me a Christmas card and tells me how much he enjoys the rifle.

They seem to have become somewhat harder to find and have gone up in price from what I have seen. Certainly no Kimber expert but it sounds like a fair price if it is in the condition you state. Several guys who are very knowledgable on the Kimbers, I would wait for one of them to chime in.
Thanks "j". I posted this on the Hunting Rifle topic to get more views. I think my wife needs it for Christmas. grin
Buy it now!!
If I find it first you will need to find another gift for your wife smile
