You didn't provide enough information for a very helpful answer. While some published combinations of case/wad/powder charge just flat won't work right, that is fairly rare. I suspect that either you are using the wrong wad, for instance a 1 1/4 ounce wad, or that you are using a hull that it is not designed for, or maybe you still have the one ounce bushing in your loader. Not in any way trying to be demeaning, I've dripped lots of candle wax on some of my reloads in the past. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Wingmaster:

Well, duh.

I hope what you mean is that, upon being sure that you are using the right wad and powder charge, and upon checking your bushing and/or weighing your shot charge you found that a) you had the wrong bushing or b) that it was dropping a too light charge for its marked capacity and you changed your set up to drop the right shot charge. I sincerely hope you just didn't add whatever amount of shot was necessary to fill up the wad. If you are using a fast burning powder, while I doubt that you will blow up your gun, by adding more shot than the loading data calls for, you can easily get excessive pressures which will lead to rapid wear and parts breaking on your gun. Be careful, use your head. Read a shotgun loading manual.

I agree with IIFID here. The last thing you want do, is just add a little more shot. Go back and check everything!

I think you are seating the wad to deep in the hull, try decreasing the wad pressure. With the shot cups set too deep, the crimp will look shallow, when using the correct loading components. Good luck
