I am looking for some load info on 7/8 oz 12 gage loads using American Select Powder with 12SO Wads. Hulls can be anything, I have them all.
Have you checked the Alliant Reloaders Guide online?
Yes, I found a 24 gram (7/8 oz) international load with a 12SO wad at 1345 feet per second. I have backed off that load and I am currently testing. 1345 feet per second is too fast for skeet, so I am trying to zero in on a slower load. Will post my results once I can borrow a chrono.
The 2004 Alliant data book shows some American Select 1200 fps 7/8 oz loads in Rem STS and Win AA hulls, but only with the Claybuster 4100-12B and Winchester WAA12SL (grey) wads.

The 12S0 is only shown with the faster 1300 fps loads. The pressure is very low with even the 1300 fps loads, so I assume it is a fitment issue, that the 12S0 does not take up enough room.

You will probably have to adjust your crimping stations to fill the hole as you slow them down.

12SO wad is for a straight wall hull.

I use the 7/8 oz (silver) Winchester wad in Remington or the OLD style AA hulls with a MEC #33 powder bushing. This is a very light recoil load and is going 1275ish.

I just wish I could find some moare American Select powder!!
