Are you positive it’s 5/8x24. Or is it 1/2x28. .

1/2x28 is what they normally thread for 22 caliber rifles.

Sorry Brian I do think it’s 1/2x28. I have two X bolts and one is a 308 which is 5/8x24 so I accidentally put that. Thanks for catching that. Ricky

Ok got clarification from Browning it’s a 5/8x24 thread. They threaded all their barrels that were suppressor ready 5/8x24 and it’s a 1/8 twist. Thanks Ricky

Seems like I remember that name being associated with them. I bought the 308 and 223.here is what browning shows for them.

I bought a bull barrel Winchester 22-250 that I’m going have threads cut for suppressor. Going to sell about 10 rifles because I have way to many. This 223 has been shot very little. Enough to put scope on and zeroed in. A lot of guys are asking about accuracy. I have no idea how accurate it is. I reload and have a bunch of loads worked up for a ar15 in hndy 50gr vmax. It’s what I sighted scope in with. These guns are built for accuracy so no reason why it want shoot. Ricky

I have really butchered this thread. Browning rep called me to clarify the thread pitch on this rifle. He told me misspoke the other day when he said it was 5/8x 24. He stated he was looking at 308 data and didn’t realize it when he gave me information. 223 has the 1/2-28 thread pitch. I then asked him to email me data to absolutely be clear on information. Here is email:: sorry for all confusion.

1/2 - 28 for thread pitch

1-8" barrel twist rate

Hope this helps
