I couldn't have said it better myself!
This

the 6.5x55 in a Sako or Tikka is just perfect

'Had' 4-5 Tikka Swede's

But never a Sako 85......

Huntin' years are over for me

Except P/dogs of course
Sako 85 Synthetic Black

Sako 85 Black Synthetic is a new darker take on an all-time favorite giving you trouble-free ownership and legendary Sako performance. Black grip areas against the black satin-like stock create a stunning profile.
Never knew they made a black Finn light. Is it blued steel or stainless and cerakote?

My good friend has one of these that shoots bugholes with ease in factory stock. He had it bedded in a McMillan Sako Hunter stock and it shoots very well in that too! Great rifle!
Jason, can you verify the 9 twist please?

My mistake. It’s verified to be an 8” twist rate as per Sako specs.
Even better.

I have an 85 Classic in 6.5 X 55 and yes, it shoots absolute bugholes.
Shi!

I am wondering the same thing. Never seen a Finnlight that wasn't stainless. A stunning rig any way you slice it though.
Have the T3x in x55, this would make a great companion. Sweeeet rifle. Must resist...

If this were left handed it would be on it's way to PA. Very nice, great price.
Thanks for the compliments. This is a fine rifle. I do believe it’s coated stainless.
Is that a Finnlight II or blued steel?
Eurooptic sold these. I do believe they are a coated version of the Finnlight. They certainly weren’t any less money.

I have no idea. I got info from my buddy. He later said they may not be. I’ve never seen a carbon steel barrel from Sako that was fluted. Who know without scratching the barreled action to see what’s under there…and no one is going to do that. I know Hamrick on this page has one still and it’s shoots lights out. I’m going out on a limb here but if Jason (Sakohunter264) says it’s good to go, it’s good to go! His collection of rifles is remarkable.
Sako is a top notch guy. Either stainless/carbon it is great rifle with a durable coated finish that I am sure shoots better than most of us can shoot it.

Thanks for the good comments. This rifle shoots as good as it looks. I’m going to leave this up today and hank it off the market in the AM. Having sellers remorse is no fun.
I have the same rifle in 308. Unlike the previous 308’s with 20” barrels, the Finnlight II had 22” barrels. After 4 years, the stock is still nice, no signs of sticky.

The Finnlight II is a cerakoted, stainless gun.
A little push in the back never hurts!
I like it. I shouldn’t be such a cheap a$$ and just buy the dang thing. I’m taking the kids to Yellowstone in a month and I’m sure that’s gonna cost me however lol

I have a stainless Sako 85 chambered in 260. It's a damn fine rifle, one of my favorites. Shoots bug holes with 139gr Lapua scenars and 142gr Sierra matchkings. If I didn't have the 260, I would be all over this one.
Bump for a real nice rifle in a great caliber.
Last call $1400, If you want the Sako rings add $100.
$1400 + $100 if you want the rings.
$1400 and I’ll throw in a set of leupold rings.

I have the stainless version. Great shooter with 140 gr Accubonds.
