Seemed like a good deal.
Several buyers. Now it's gone?
Not sure. I wasn't aware that you could totally delete a post but that appears to be what happened.
You guys are about 3 minutes ahead of me. I had the same question.
This one?

I pm'ed pics to everyone who asked. More than one needed shipping qoutes. I'd have to go through my dealer to get multiple quotes since I ship through my dealer. Decided not to fool with shipping so I deleted the ad. I'll sell it local or keep it.

Coyote10, you offered 450 shipped. I had it listed at 425. It would definitely cost more than $25 to ship it through my dealer. I had others interested at 425 plus shipping. But shipping is sometimes a hazzle when my dealer is 25-30mins away. Sometimes I make an exception and ship.

Shipping through my FFL easily adds 40.00 in transfer fee. The 60-70.00 to ship on top of that.
Shipping has certainly taken the fun out of trading rifles. It runs about $75 to transfer to my dealer and have him ship a rifle.
I recently shipped a rifle from my FFL to someone 1500 miles away for a total cost $56. There is no FFL transfer fee for seller, only the buyer at their FFL upon receiving the firearm.
I do believe everyone has the right to do what they want with their stuff. I also believe it would be common courtesy to let people you are dealing with know that you are no longer interested in dealing with them rather than deleting your ad. Simple text or PM takes a few seconds to type.

Man I’m not sure who you’re shipping through but I haven’t seen a quote that cheap in ages. I sent a bergara 6.5 creedmoor 2 weeks ago from oregon to Texas and it cost me $94.

That’s not necessarily true. It depends on the FFL and what he charges. Many live in small towns and are limited in choice of FFL. My guy does charge me, whether selling or buying and he ain’t cheap. . .
Much cheaper if a FFL ships than a private person.
From the Ozarks to NW North Dakota about 6 weeks ago. Received a Savage model 10 223 rifle with heavy barrel from N Illinois that seller used ShipMyGun, cost him $25.
Don't know about other states but in Missouri I have never paid a transfer fee when shipping a firearm. Shipped a few and it has been shipping cost only and what the shop charges to package and handle it.
Magnut, I have found it to be a lot cheaper for my FFL to ship also.
I've shipped several. Don't ship from an ffl to an ffl. Go to the post office and send it to the ffl yourself. I've never had a firearm cost me more that 30 dollars to ship usps.
He may make an exception and ship for another 150.....
You never know.
Sounds like he'll meet you at the end of his driveway, but the buck stops there lol.

Actually I stated I'll meet you at an ffl that is local as state law requires an ffl transfer here in this state now. And federal law requires it of any one not in.my state. So make the drive and you can own it.
I thought I had the CZ 455 bought,KCC sent pictures last night,Said he would need to get with his FFL about shipping cost,All at my expense ,Replied to him to seal the deal,By saying I'd take it,This morning,
His reply was I deleted the ad this morning,The 455 is staying in VA,
I've yet to seal a deal with KCC,
Long live the Fire,

If shipping issues were a issue,GunBroker would of bellied up a long time ago,

Remingtonclassic,
I think your words were "I'll take it, IF WE CAN GET SETTLED ON A SHIPPING COST". There was a caveat to the I'll take it. Decided wasn't worth the hazzle.
If it was at a all expense to me who cares what the expense was,Like this isn't a reoccurring even?Cold Feet comes to mind to me,

Make the drive and you can buy it too. Several ffl shops will be happy to do the transfer
I'm not sure you'd sell it to your neighbor,
Moving on,
Seems there were several dealing with him on this rifle. I told him as well last night I would purchase rifle depending on shipping as he said he would have to check with his dealer for shipping price. Then I see he has deleted his add this morning.

Yall have proven my point. People said they wanted it depending on shipping. I'm not contacting my dealer with several zip codes and getting several qoites on shipping just to waste his time if ppl think it's too high, since some had texted thinking $25 would be enough. So I deleted the ad. If I relist it, it will be for pick up here with local transfer only. Btw....the original ad said I prefer local but might consider shipping.

It must have been quite a while since you have shipped a firearm, it costs almost $30 to ship a scope. Go online and do a usps shipping calculation to ship a firearm and you will be surprised at what it costs now.

I have recently sold off some of my rifles and shipping them myself, it has run around $75 to $95 to ship one very far and adding insurance really makes the cost soar.

drover
Sent a model 70 down to Abilene TX. The other day for 28 bucks. Guy got it in 5 days.
And what the heck is another 20 bucks or so? If your worried about shipping cost, then just go the store and get one. Plus 99.9 percent of all items sold on the fire has to be shipped.
I just sent a shotgun from North Dakota to Louisiana, cost me 35 bucks. For that CZ, take the action out of the stock so it’s not overlong and shouldn’t be more than 35-40 bucks anywhere in the country.
It makes everyone's life easier if a seller just has a flat shipping fee listed. If it's too high, buyers will move on or make an offer shipping included.
Or just price it shipped.
