I have one I would trade for a similar mag for a 30-06.

PM me
Bump, and pm to CK, I’ll try and locate you one.

Evening bump.
Saint Patrick’s Day bump.
In my experience, there are SA and LA magazines configurations. So any 308 based magazine should work. I have a 243 and have used magazines marked 35Rem, 308 and 243 without an issue.

There’s actually several different followers. Sometimes you can get lucky that way depending on bullet choice, but it’s also rifle dependent. A correct mag doesn’t guarantee it’s going to function 100%. Good luck in your search! Wish I could help you.

All M760 receivers were the same size, there was no LONG or SHORT action. The magazine is what’s different in that the magazine’s side cartridge guide crimps/indents and/or spacers were added to enable different length cartridges to feed correctly in the same size action
I run a newer reg .308 win mag in my 760 .35 rem.

Works fine, fast or slow (Hornady Leverevolution ammo).

Have the original ".35 rem " marked mag too.

But I hunt with the .308 mag, in case it decides to get lost afield LOL

For the OP, left to right, 308, 35Rem, 6mm, 300Sav and 30-06. Jack is correct the action length is the same regardless, but if you can find a 308 or 6mm it should work, but again some guns are more fickle than others.
Thank y’all for the replies and info. I’d like to edit the original post to include .243 and .308 magazines. Might be easier to find one of them.

Is easier to find mags marked 243 and 308. Marked 35 are rare. Mb
Agreed, I’ll take any of the three, just need a working mag.

There’s a number of them on eBay.
I might have to go that route but I’d rather deal with the ‘cFire members when possible.

I have an original 35 Rem magazine, but you'll have to buy the rifle too. A bought a 308 mag years ago and it works but it took some file work for the magazine to catch in the mag well.
Shoot, I just picked up my first 760, otherwise I might take you up on it. I never thought finding a magazine would be difficult.

Shoot me a pm depending on price and condition i may be interested in that. I really need an early one in 5 diamond
I have a 760 in 35 REM with a mag ( and a spare that’s not for sale) but saw a guy at a gun show last weekend that had two 35 REM mags for sale and thought if the price was right I would grab a third. Almost choked when he said $175.00 each !
