WTS/WTT: Browning B92 44 Mag w/box & papers - 06/25/08
Browning B92 44 Mag standard grade w/box and papers. These were made back in the 1970s and part of the 80s by Miroku for Browning. It has a 20" round barrel and straight grip carbine stock. This is as close as you are ever going to get to an original Winchester 1892 in craftsmanship without buying an original. There is absolutely no comparison between these and the current crop of import 92 clones. This is the best 92 copy that money can buy. Some say that these were made better than the originals. Working the action of this one side by side with my original 1892 38WCF made in 1892, I will have to admit they are very close.
This is not NIB and has been hunted a little it looks like. It is still in excellent condition with only scattered small dings in the wood. All are small and none go through the finish. No cracks, splits, chips, gouges etc. The metal is nearly perfect with just a tiny bit of bluing wear at the muzzle and the loading gate. It is very hard to notice either. The action is as smooth as glass. I have only fired Winchester white box 240 SP ammo through it, but it fed and cycled like a dream and was pretty darn accurate from 50yds offhand. It does have sling swivels installed, but they were installed squarely without cracking or chipping the wood. The front one is just a barrel band clamp that could be easily removed. They actually come in pretty handy when hunting though.
As for trades, I can usually be tempted by an unusual Savage 99, Marlin, Winchester or Browning lever action rifle. Let me know what you have.
