This is the Vari-X series Leupold Compact, predecessor to the current Vari-X2 Compact linked below. These differed from the present version in that they had friction adjustments (not click) and used the same coating that the old Vari-X2's used (not Multi-coat 4). It is a 3x9 power compact variable with the Leupold Standard Duplex reticle and is parallax adjustable from 50 feet to infinity. Gloss finish. It is used, has been mounted, and has two marks of note: A light ring mark at the rear end of the main tube and a chip at the point where the objective begins to flair out from the main body (not dented, just a chip through the finish). Both of these flaws are on the bottom of the scope and do not show when the scope is mounted. The scope is 100% functional and there are no chips or scratches in the lenses. Includes the box, cloth protector and manual. $250 including insured shipping to lower 48 states. PM with questions or for pictures. Thanks for looking!

To high
Thor1488 Who are you to say if something is too high? If you dont like the price on something, Dont buy it and move on!
A BIG +1 on what ICDUCKS posted. Don't like it, don't buy it and move along!

Thor1488 - Where is "high"? If we're going "to high" I'd like to know where that is. The scope may be "too high", (comparative use of "too") but nobody else has or will state that publicly. It's one of the few serious taboos in the classifieds. You didn't make any good moves with your ninth post.

Thor, considering that a new one will run $369 PLUS SHIPPING, and that Leupold will honor their lifetime service policy whether or not you are the original owner, $250 SHIPPED being too high is debatable. And, of course, you are free to make an offer which I'll seriously consider. But maybe you're just trying to make some noise eh?

Bingo Redeye. I at first thought you were advertising it as comparable to a Vari-x II, and then $250 might be a little stiff, but the VX-II line is a different story, plus it's a compact, which demands a premium. If someone wants a 3-9 compact, they'll be interested.
