Hi,

If anyone is interested, I mess around in the garage in the evenings after work and make these custom hitch covers. They are made out of solid brass with a stainless steel primer. The tube is aluminum also so there is no worry about any rust at all. The diameter of the brass is 4 inches and the engraved letters are around 1/2 inch tall.

I can engrave just about anything you would want on here, and have more pictures of other styles available. I have sold many of these and everyone has been extremely happy with the quality and workmanship that I put into my product.

I had one on my wife's vehicle. Never thought it would be the target of a theif. That 4 inch brass round was worth the price of scrap to someone. They are quite nice, but if you put one on your hitch, better LOCK it on. That may not stop a theif, but it will deter the sombeech!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The top one is actually on the back of my truck!! And No, I wouldn't put it on until I got a lock for it. (Sorry for your loss Brother).

I have 1.25" receivers front and back.
3 or 3.5" diameter?
Put Suzuki, CanAm, Yamaha, etc. on them.

I agree as to making sure that you lock the cover on the hitch. I have one that John made that is "Federal 470 NE". I have a lot of people who ask me questions about it, especially since my license plate is "BG5HNTR"

A good friend of mine ran into a similar problem while coyote hunting in a different state. He had his calls hanging on a lanyard from the mirror of his truck, when he came out of the restaurant from eating breakfast someone had broken into his truck and stole his rifle. Ever make them any smaller in diameter?

No, but it's possible. The only issue would be the cost of a one off part. I make the 4" diameter brass disc in batches of 50 to keep my cost down. If I had to make a one off disc in a smaller size I would need to charge for the extra time involved.
