the story:
im the second owner of the rifle and have put about 100 rounds through it. it will shoot well under 1" @ 100 yards with a couple of different reloads and the hornady 139 sst factory load.
the original( non reloading ) owner stated that the rifle didn't shoot good enough for him and sent it back to the factory. the factory said it was well within their specs. and shipped it back to him.
not happy he took it to a gunsmith who recrowned the barrel, lapped the barrel and lugs, set the barrel back and trued the action. after the work the caliber stamp is now under the stock. his go to load was the remington factory 140 grain ballistic tip load.
i don't have the specs on the gun, but if you went to the remington web site they should have it.
this rifle shoots like a dream and the only thing i see wrong with it, is the chamber marking is under the stock.
