This is an nice 1950s or 60s vintage Bushnell Scope Chief 3-9x42 Rifle Scope with Standard Cross Hairs plus Command Post option. The way the Command Post works is as follows. Underneath the windage turret cap located alongside the windage adjustment is a Small Red Lever which when moved causes a Post to pop up over top of the bottom portion of the crosshairs. This is a Very Handy Feature when you happen to be hunting at dawn or dusk or in heavy brush where a standard crosshair is often hard to see quickly. The Scope measures aprox. 12" over all. The 1" tube has ring marks on rear porition and a couple of light scratches and one ding. There is one turret cap that is missing. The lenses are not cracked, chipped, or scratched, and the Japanese Optics are very clear and sharp with no fogging. This was Bushnell's top of the line and is the equal in quality to any of the Weaver or Redfield scopes made at the time. $85 shipped CONUS. [Linked Image]
