Hi, Will it work on a shot gun , as I am looking for something for my sons for spring gobbler season?

It should work fine for a shotgun sight. All you would need to mount it would be a weaver style base on the gun.

I have had mine on a Benelli Super Black eagle shooting 3.5" turkey loads for years. It is now on my son's 20 gauge. They are good quality red dots.
