Bought these some years back as backups to my current boots. My feet have grown some and they are too snug. Couple of scuffs from being in the closet but have never been worn. These were the previous version that was made in Italy, Goretex lined, Skywalk soles. EXCELLENT boots, just can't wear them.

That model of boot was the first serious pair of hiking boots I bought 25 years ago for a summer back packing trip to Denali in Alaska. They are a CLASSIC all leather design. As a general purpose hiker or hunting boot they are still unsurpassed to this day.

Those boots are NO LONGER made in Italy and last I checked the latest Chinese made versions cost more than the OP is asking here.

This is a great buy on boots that would cost about $300 brand new if still made in Italy.

Like an all leather pair of Meindls etc, these should be worn with thick outer socks and a thin sock liner, especially as they break in a bit. Great boots for somebody who likes quality.

Thanks, and I agree with you on all points. These actually seem to run a little on the large side, they feel the same as my 9.5 US Asolo Fugutive boots. I really wish I could get another pair in size 10, but I'll be going with another pair of Asolo boots (all leather this time) as they are the closest I can find.

Sure wish these were size 11. I own two pair of these, the first is about shot after 8 years of hard use. The second pair has a couple of hunting seasons behind them and are still in good shape with no leaks in the gore-tex. Wish I could find a third pair.

Sure wish Vasque still made this model and in Italy. I wouldn't own a pair of China made Vasque boots today, I've heard they are crap from several sources. Their current models sure look like crap compared to what they used to make.

These are great boots though and I'd have said the magic words if they were a bit bigger. $150 is more than fair for this type of quality, IMO.
