Tight, three shot group accuracy is the ruler by which fine rifles are measured. Of course, at Austin & Halleck our wood buyers scour North America looking for rare pieces of curly, tiger stripe, flame shell and burley maple to stock our rifles. And every barreled action is hand polished and high-luster blued, because that's the way fine rifles are made - but it doesn't make it accurate.

Perhaps its our 26" octagon-to-round barrel (longest in the industry) that makes the difference, or maybe the one turn in 28" rifling. It could be the Bold match grade target triggers or the .199" hammer throw that sets an Austin & Halleck apart; but we know it's all these things and a couple of others we keep secret.

You see, when you take Austin & Halleck to the range, just break off the first inch of that ruler - because that's all you're probably going to need to measure the three shot Austin & Halleck group.

Is it set for 209 primers or is it perc. caps?

It is 209. I think it's a model 420 but it's not on it anywhere. Oal is 46 and 3/4
Lop is 13in weight is close to 8.5 lbs. It is nickel. Hope this helps.
