More Closet cleaning...

Here is a fancy grade Jeff White French style trade knife. Jeff makes these out of 1095 carbon and hammer forges the blades. The heat treatment on these is spot on. The blades are very tough and yet hold an edge very well.

They are about as light and tough of a knife as you can find for the money. This one is as new and razor sharp. The knife has High grade hand selected Curly Maple scales stained to a whiskey brown color and oil finished with brass pins. Most of his knives have very plain handles. This one is a knockout. The fit and finish is about perfect..

The blade is left with the forging scale on the sides and the edge is hand convexed. The OAL length is 9.25" and the blade is 5" long. No sheath is included-just the knife.

The price on this one is $39 shipped. Hard to beat for a hand made knife of this quality.

Payment must be made by immediate PayPal only- no "e-checks".

These are surprisingly good knives and you can sharpen them scary sharp. If you want a sheath, you can usually pick those up on E-Bay. Do a search on E-Bay for R. Jones sheaths. Those are nice too. Nice looking knife.
I don't know anything about the knife or maker but he is basically giving them away.I wouldn't make one for less than $150.
Yes- fellers, they are very good blades. I have an Osage Orange handled version of this knife I've beat the snot out of trying to see if it would run with my Esee, Beckers,,etc .. and it does. The only knives that equal them on a value for dollar basis are the Swedish Moras..
What was the source stock?
It's 1095 bar.
