Also, since the finish does not appear to be the usual gloss of the walnut-stocked variety, can you tell any more about the rifles details/ history?

Does it have sights? How long the barrel?

I don't know if the youth model goes back as far as the three-screw era, but I think it may have had a lesser finish to the metal, so perhaps youth model re-stocked?

It is a three-screw, it is drilled and tapped for sights, but I do not have them. The barrel is 18.5 inches long. It has a matte
black finish. It is not the youth model.
I have had several Model 7's over the years, this is one of the earlier matte black synthetics.
Had the rifle for several years, never used it, thought it was time to sell.

I have not shot the rifle, can't say how it shoots. It has been a safe queen since I have had it.
