SPF WITH ONE ON DECK. THIS PLACE ROCKS!
Hello there. I'm finishing up selling off my deceased brother's gun stuff to pay his medical bills. All the guns and accessories are sold, but I found this stainless, fluted barrel, boxed, in the back of his gun safe.

This barrel is a heavy (5 pound) Remington 40XB 22-250 barrel that he had converted into a 22-250 Ackley Improved before he even shot it. It was quickly retired when he converted the 40XB to a ported 22BR. My bro was wheelchair bound, and I don't think he liked the recoil of the non-ported AI 22-250. The threads are the same as a Rem 700 barrel. I contacted Remington, and they tell me the twist is 1:14".

It is a bead blast finish that is a little worn on the muzzle end. It is threaded for sights, with flush screws in the holes. The barrel is a straight taper from 1.180" to .873". It is 27.125" LOA.

Included are 132 pieces of fire formed brass and Redding Full Length and Neck Sizing dies. There is no bullet seating die.

Wonder if that's the same as a varmit/sendero contour?

probably a little heavier than the Rem varmint contour.
