Important Information on
Winchester 22LR ammo recall!

Winchester is recalling two (2) lots of their M22 22 long rifle, 40 grain, black copper-plated round nose rimfire ammunition.

The lot numbers are GD42L and GD52L. These numbers are printed on the top of the box.

Winchester has determined that these lots may contain double powder charges. If fired, the shooter or bystanders could be at risk of serious injury and/or death. The firearm could also be damaged, rendering it inoperable.

DO NOT USE THIS AMMO IF IT HAS EITHER OF THE ABOVE LOT NUMBERS ON THE BOX!

They have asked that this ammo be sent to deflave for immediate disposal...

Half with double charges means half with no charges...
At least that's how I understand the powder hopper works.
If Winchester was not noticing something like a few hundred pounds of missing powder per lot... I'd worry.
I had a 1,000 round box I shipped in at the beginning of February. Anybody receive anything in regards to compensation yet?
