I have 2 sets of 870 wood, this is just the wood, one set has a recoil pad but no screw.

Set A, Express wood, has some black stuff on the grip, I was going to strip and refinish these but have gone another way. 25 FTF in Rockford

Set B, I just refinished these, I give them a hand rubbed oil finish till all pores are filled then a satin poly top coat. These are like, and may be, police wood. Real nice color and grain. No pad, my plan was to cut them back and add a pad for a LOP of 14.25. 85 FTF in Rockford

Tru Oil, takes about 10 or 12 coats for a full fill. Then a spray satin poly top coat. I have been doing stocks like this for years, makes for a nice durable finish.

Are these off of a 20 or 12? If A is for a 20 gauge I'll take it

Passport,

Would you consider donating the "A" stock to a youth shooter?? I have a new Boy Scout (8th grader) shooting scholastic trap who is too short for the 12 1/2 inch stock I have....Ethan is a small kid.

I'll cut the stock to 11 inches and refit the recoil pad to the Remington 20 gauge I have loaned him. The 870 is the older 12 gauge frame 20 gauge so the stock will fit.

Thanks

Greg
