I happened upon a nice Model 70 Stainless Classic in .30-06, but it's got the factory plastic stock. I'm primarily interested in a nice stick of wood...something with some grain or a bit of "pop" to it.

Somebody's got to have a Super Grade takeoff or something similar? I'd also consider a McMillan that was in good shape. Please PM or post with photos if you have a candidate.

I have a beautiful walnut stock from an xtr. I believe it will fit a classic?

I'll sell you my classic supergrade. 30-06 unfired with beautiful wood. You can stick it in your stock and resell at a minimal loss. Probably cheaper than buying a stock only....
