No,The Carbines Have 18 inch barrels and 1 in 12 twist.
Mine with the 4x leupold shoots 60 grain Partitions(Federal Premium ammo)will put 3 into a inch on my good days shooting off a truck hood.
The same setup weighs an ounce or so less than 7 pounds with the Lightweight rings and full magazine.

Will the 1 in 12 twist stabilize 40 - 50 gr bullets or does it do better with the heavier projectiles?

12 should be better for light/short bullets.

I dont know which bullets it shoots the best.
I knew I wanted to try the 60 Grain Partitions so I tried them first .
When I saw how good they shot I stopped there !!

I used to have one of these the last group I shot on paper was .6 for 5 shots with factory ammo. That gun always shot very well, I suspect this one is no different
