Just to be clear, the Douglas 8mm barrel is short chambered for the 8 mm Mauser cartridge and threaded for small ring 98 actions (or 96 or 93 or ?)

Yes,it's short chambered for 8x57 mauser, it was originally going on a G33/40 small ring Mauser but my Uncle used another caliber. It's threaded for small ring 98 actions. If you have anymore questions it's not a problem.
