This gun is in great condition for its age. The gun is fully functional, operates solid, and the bore looks great. Barrel and mag tube are missing some bluing but look good overall, The wood is in great shape, and the receiver looks like it should on gun of its age; it has a very nice grayish/brown patina, no rust or pitting. This gun is chambered in ,the ever so collectible, 30 WCF (a.k.a. 30-30).

Interested in ALL Firearm trades. Have no problem shipping to an FFL.

However, I'm not keen on .223/5.56, .40S&W, Glocks, Revolvers (except Colts), or Pistols smaller than 9mm. Thanks

Saddle ring removed, by any chance?
It did not have one when I got it and it does not seem to be missing one....i.e. There is no wear near the place one would have been.
I can't tell in the photo, does it have a hole for a saddle ring in the receiver?
No hole either.
It would be a large hole in the side of the receiver if there was one, or one removed, so figured I'd ask.

Nice rifle bump.
Thanks

Saddle rings ended for the most part in 1924 I believe.
