I have 2 of the old style AR15+.com receivers. They are 80% and have the fire control milled out. New ones are solid aluminum fire control group area and require much more milling work. I paid $140 for these years ago. $115 shipped to you . $200 for both. I have the drilling guide/jig and all drill bits and taps needed to complete these lowers. Will ship 2 lowers and the complete kit for $275 shipped.
This is a very rewarding, fun, interesting and unique project.
I believe if the fire control group is milled out it's not an 80% receiver but rather a firearm by the ATFE's definition.
FCG needs an additional .030 taken off the sides. Easily done with drill press and supplied end mill bit. Read plenty of posts about guys doing this lower with a hand drill and a Dremel tool!
could you send some pics to

That is correct. Once the first cut is made into the fire control area, it's no longer an 80% receiver but a firearm.
I can't argue about what the rules are now but when I bought them they were 80%ers. as far as being a firearm, good luck, there is lots to do before its even close. Its a good looking piece of aluminum/paper-weight.

I'm sure you thought that and were probably told that, but that's not the way it was or is.
