Winchester 70 Classic Sporter 30-06 with CFR action. This was originally purchased as just a classic sporter with the typical sporter stock. I picked up this stock separately and Ive never seen another like it since. It has a nice satin finish to it. It came inletted for a sporter weight barrel and didnt have any signs of ever having an action in it. The buttplate is hard plastic with the Winchester logo. As for the rifle, the blueing and fit on the metalwork is fantastic, its probably the best classic series rifles Ive owned. I had the trigger lightened to about 2#, and the action bedded. The smith was supposed to free float the barrel but when I took these photos it doesnt appear to be entirely freefloated when I tried the dollar bill test. Ive only fired about 25 rounds through it and never hunted with it, it was brand new when I bought it. There is one small ding on the bottom of the floorplate, a wear mark on the back left side of the action that I believe was beneath the wood on the original stock, ever so slight wear on the finish on the extractor body. Only selling because I inherited a pre-64 300H&H and consequently haven’t even had a scope mounted on this rifle for over a year. $850 shipped

Springfield 1903 - I traded into this and don't know a great deal about 1903's. It appears to be missing a little nut or screw on the rear sight as it moves up and down pretty freely. If anyone wants to point me towards specific stamps or serial numbers I'll be happy to look for them. I've never shot this rifle, although I might put a few through it this weekend just to say I have. $900 shipped

I will sell the Win stock alone for $275 shipped. It does have some bedding compound in it.
I could also trade for a lnib glock 17 gen 3 or 4 with no modifications done to it, must be stock.
Just an FYI, you might want to check serial number on the Springfield 1903. Below 800,000 are termed "low numbered" that some consider unsafe to shoot. It also has a bearing on the value.
Thanks, it's well above that, 1,438,xxx
barrel length? How much for barreled action and bottom metal only?
24", I don't want to sell the action alone unless the stock sells first.

From your photobucket photos it is apparent that your Springfield is a high numbered rifle. That makes it much safer and more useful.
From what a local fellow told me, the action was made around 1931 and the barrel is dated 1944 so it was rebuild at some point and the action is safe to fire.
