Kinda unique situation.
My mother and father in law is having to sell their house.
Dad is in a nursing home and we moved mom into a assisted living place.
They built their house in the early 80's I believe, it was before I married there daughter.
That said they had the builder put in a nice brick fireplace and they also told him to put a old timey rifle above it.
Dad has been in a wheelchair with polio since 14 so he relied on people to do his bidding.
The builder put this Thompson center seneca rifle on the wall for dad.
He made custom brackets that you had to take the trigger guard off to use then he reinstalled the trigger guard.
The builder told him it was a new rifle and it looks it to me.
I ran a patch down the barrel and all looks good there.
I tried i take off the nipple but do not have a wrench for that and didn't want to screw it up.
Mom said she dusted it till a couple years ago till she got to week to climb the ladder.
I don't know that much about black powder rifles but did goggle it and determine that it is a .45 seneca.
there is a small patch of scratches on the cheek piece (3/4" ) where it came in contact with the brick.
What is the value, is there any interest in it?
I can email pictures to those interested.
And yes mom and dad would like to sell it as they could use the money.
Thanks Clinton
