Kinda unique situation.
My mother and father in law is having to sell their house.
Dad is in a nursing home and we moved mom into a assisted living place.
They built their house in the early 80's I believe, it was before I married there daughter.
That said they had the builder put in a nice brick fireplace and they also told him to put a old timey rifle above it.
Dad has been in a wheelchair with polio since 14 so he relied on people to do his bidding.
The builder put this Thompson center seneca rifle on the wall for dad.
He made custom brackets that you had to take the trigger guard off to use then he reinstalled the trigger guard.
The builder told him it was a new rifle and it looks it to me.
I ran a patch down the barrel and all looks good there.
I tried i take off the nipple but do not have a wrench for that and didn't want to screw it up.
Mom said she dusted it till a couple years ago till she got to week to climb the ladder.
I don't know that much about black powder rifles but did goggle it and determine that it is a .45 seneca.
there is a small patch of scratches on the cheek piece (3/4" ) where it came in contact with the brick.
What is the value, is there any interest in it?
I can email pictures to those interested.
And yes mom and dad would like to sell it as they could use the money.
Thanks Clinton
Generally, about $400 give or take is what I've seen then going for at gun shows recently.

Everything depends upon condition.

4ager is right. I sold mine for $425 2 years ago. It was .45 and about 99%. You didn't mention the caliber. .36 is rarer and worth a bit more. Dings, scratches and rust will, of course lower the price, but they are getting hard to find.

Google black powder forums. There are a couple that will let you post items for sale. There may be more interest on a specialized forum.
4ager and dml's estimates are good, would just like to add that this is a desirable model. Don't let a potential buyer lowball you by showing you prices for other TC models.

Regards,
Bob.
We have been called out to go back to work (truck drivers)
I have had several people request pics and now that we are traveling texting them is easier so if you send a number it will be faster.
Thanks
Didn't realize you were selling it here.
My comment about lowballers wasn't directed at 'fire members.

Bob.
Sent ya a PM
My father inlaw and I wants to thank all the replies and advice we have got on this rifle.
Again i know very little about black powder except you have to clean them.
Long story short dad says sell it and he says 450.00 TYD.
We will be back home friday but can text prcs if interested.
