Great scope. Holds zero. Has normal wear and ring marks but not noticeable gauges. Very clear glass and two very small nicks on the ocular that are very hard to see.

A fixed power scope isn't a Vari-Xable. It's probably an M8.
You seem to be right. It's either a fx-iii or a m-8. I bought it somewhere around 2004? I believe it has vari-x glass?
