I have a like new Cooper model 54 'Jackson Excalibur.' The Jackson Excalibur is a special run for 1st Stop Guns in Rapid City, SD. Basically, it's an Excal with the Jackson hunter stock and a stainless barrel.
The model 54's usually come with a thin barrel, so I paid to have it upgraded to the 52 contour (similar to a #4). Also, they come standard with a 1:10 twist, but that was upgraded as well to a 1:8 to run the 105-class bullets. The aforementioned upgrades add $275 to the base cost of the rifle linked below. I have about $2,550 into it and wait time was right at 9 months.

Some specs:
Cal: .243 AI
Barrel length: 24"
Barrel Twist: 1:8
Rifle weight: 7 lbs, 2 oz

Other than the fact it has been shot, the rifle is basically new; I cant find a flaw on it.
It is identical to the rifle linked below, except for caliber and action length:

I would like $2250 shipped to your FFL. Will include everything that came with it from Cooper as well as 50 pcs of fire formed Lapua brass. USPS MO works best. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

Please visit LRH for high-res photos of the rifle and targets:

Will 105's touch the lands and fit in the box?

The reason for the question, I talked to Cooper about rebarreling my 22 and they reported they only used SAAMI reamers.

Absolutely. Take a look at the pics on LRH i have linked above - there is one of a 105 hybrid loaded to the lands in the mag. I loaded 105 A-max's, 105 hybrids, and 105 VLD's and all have plenty of room to mag load.

Just sell your 22 and buy this one.. no wait! :-)

in all seriousness, the 1:8 barrel twist is what took so long to get the rifle...
She's a beautiful rig and I've been dreaming of a 6mm all day, started at a 6xc and ended and a 6mm AI. I'm glad I don't have the money... Bump for a nice rig!

Thanks for adding the pic, RDW.

I checked my notes, the max COAL allowable in the mag box is 2.850" and all of the 105's are under 2.780" even when jammed. plenty of length to chase the lands if/when needed.

I like that a bunch!
