I haven't looked, but I'm guessing any past auctions with closing prices in the range you are quoting are for pre-mil guns (made before 1960). Good luck!
That's what I was thinking too.
A 1968 F .358 win in "Very Good Condition" sold for $2180 . They are selling Clip Model 99s in .250 sav & .243 win in As New Condition that sold For $1500 -$1650 one 99CD .250 Sav New Sold For $1700.. So What Would You Say A Brand New model 99 F .358 win Should Sell For ??
Can't wait to see what else comes out of grandpas safe. Why don't you skip these cynics and send me PM's with all the details on the next ones. wink laugh wink laugh wink grin
I just got a PM from a very respected Savage collector on here ..he said one in somewhat ruff condition with stock cut and pad added post mill sold for $1400 not to long ago . So that being said ill Offer this one at $1650 Shipped . Anything less ill put on GB and see what happens or just put it in the safe next to the R .358 & the EG .358 ..:) Thanks

FYI, I would not consider it to be NOS when sling studs have been added after it left the factory.
Please let the man sell the rifle without arguing the details. If ya don't like what he's selling, don't respond.
I believe in calling a spade a spade. The "details" that others are bringing to light just might help inform an otherwise uninformed buyer. If the seller would have just simply stated that he had a rifle for sale and provided pics, the succeeding posts may have gone differently. The strong sales pitch full of stretched truths led the posts in their current direction. By the way, he is now offering this rifle for $1000 on another site.

$1800 down to $1000 just like that. I'm sure it's very legit.

don't be to sure guy's. I saw a rear sight for a savage 99 go well over 300.00 on flea bay the other day. like a friend in Oregon used to say. "there is an ass for every seat"
